VASCO: Verna Police on Monday arrested a security guard for allegedly stealing copper wires from the factory premises, which he is employed with.
Sources from Verna Police Station informed that on Monday, the CEO of the company registered an FIR against an unknown person, who has committed the theft of copper moulded tubes worth Rs 25,000. Accordingly, a complaint was registered under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code.

During investigation, the police came to know that Ajay Kumar Nanda, 36-year-old, staying in a rented room at Handka Verna and a native of Orissa, who is the security guard, was involved in the theft.
The police recovered the stolen property from the accused person. Further investigation is in progress.
