PANJIM: Second seeded, Goa’s WCM Riya Savant, Geno brand ambassador, and Rajaryan Kuvelkar (1852) continued with their third successive wins while Nitish Belurkar (1922) is on two points after being held to a draw in the second and third rounds in 27th under-13 National open and girls championship organized by Pondicherry State Chess Association under the aegis of All India Chess Federation in Puducherry, Monday.

Anant Prabhudesai(1661) caused a mild flutter in the second round when he held K S Raghunandan (2059) of Karnataka to a draw. Raghunandan had just clinched a gold medal for India last week in Iran in Asian under-12 championship. In the third round, he drew with highly rated Aradhya Garg (2014) of Delhi and is currently on two points.

Shane Braganca (1690) is on 1.5 points. Aditi Prabhugaokar (1468) did well to hold Sakshi Chitlange (1712) of Maharashtra to a draw. Earlier, Aditi recorded a win to earn 1.5 points as she lost in the third round.

Swera Braganca is on two points with one win and two draws and Aishwarya Thorat is on two points with two wins and one loss. Faiziya Khan is on one point.
