MARGAO: Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro while commissioning a new ambulance with advanced life support system at Navelim Health Centre promised to have a 10-bedded hospital attached to the centre even if it meant constructing a new building and disclosed that a full-fledged dialysis centre would be set up soon.
He thanked Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for sanctioning not only the ambulance but also agreeing to his various other demands. “That is the reason why I am saying that this health centre will have a 10-bed hospital attached to it,” he said recalling that the land was acquired to have a hospital.
He informed that an additional full-time medical officer was appointed to the health centre along with four part time specialists and appealed to the people to take advantage of these facilities.
The part time specialists are a gynaecologist and a chest physician who will be available on select days.
