PANJIM: Lok Sabha MP Narendra Sawaikar has sought the intervention of the External Affairs Ministry in an international matter wherein Ryan D’Souza, who along with Sydney Lemos, has been sentenced to 500-odd-years in jail in a multi-million-dollar-fraud scam in the UAE.
Sawaikar, after being approached by Ryan’s family urging his assistance for their son’s release, sent a written communiqué to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj seeking to direct the authorities concerned to examine the case and take appropriate steps for D’Souza’s release.
