PER-SERAULIM: Vasco Veterans got the better of Jose Cookies, Fulsabhat-Camorlim 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Flame of Unity Veterans, at Mabai Per-Seraulim ground, on Monday.
Jose Cookies’ Pele should have netted but the latter’s shot was palmed away to safety by the Vasco keeper John Fernandes in the third minute. Nelson Landez’s long ranger was blocked by Carmolim’s Lulu in the 6th minute.
Vasco Veterans netted the first goal of the match through Vishant Pednekar with a power-packed shot in the tenth minute. Vasco further inflated the lead through Shekar Shirodkar in the 20th minute. Chari pulled a goal back for Jose in the 65th minute.
