PANJIM: The Goa Football Association condoled the tragic death of 29-year-old Agalli footballer Alister Vaz who died suddenly during an inter-ward football tournament match at Fatorda on Sunday.
The GFA President Churchill Alemao said he was shocked at the tragic death of the youngster on the football field.
Churchill recalled that Alister had helped the GFA as a volunteer as a part of the medical services team during the I-League matches at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda.
Whilst condoling the death of the youngster, Churchill also conveyed GFA’s sympathies to his family, knowing that this will be a very difficult and demanding time for them.
“The GFA wishes the family comfort and strength in the days ahead.”
