NCP to continue with existing EC

The State Nationalist Congress Party will continue with its existing Executive Committee that was appointed by its party supremo Sharad Pawar on July 28.
The State NCP’s new President Surendra Sirsat in a press statement issued here said the issue of continuance was discussed yesterday in the presence of other leaders and committee members. It was decided to retain the existing EC under my leadership, he stated.
Besides discussing important party matters, the meeting also discussed the detailed programme to celebrate the birthday of the party founder and President Pawar from December 12 to 18.
Earlier, Sirsat had favoured dissolution of the committee, but later retracted by saying he didn’t intend to because a vacuum would be formed that could hamper party progress.
