Complaint lodged against contractor

A resident of Sirvoi-Quepem has filed a complaint against one contractor for constructing a stage in his property at Sirvoi.
One of the co-owners of the property, Vikas Vasu Bene said the contractor constructed a stage in his property at Sirvoi-Quepem in March 2010, which was inaugurated by a councilor.
“Since the contractor did not take consent from me at the time of construction of the stage, I filed a compliant with Quepem Municipal Council (QMC) to initiate action against the work,” stated Bene.
“The QMC on April 30 forwarded the complaint to PWD to verify whether the PWD has undertaken the construction. The PWD in turn in a letter dated June 10 informed QMC and me that they had not executed the work,” he said.
“The QMC officials also denied that they had executed the work,” alleged Bene.
As both PWD and QMC have denied execution of the work, the property owner on June 28 filed a complaint with QMC to initiate action against the contractor, who had executed the work.
