MARGAO: The Maddel residents have been suffering from untreated raw sewage discharge in the nallah which is meant for rainwater.
To add to the existing problems, a multi-dwelling building has released raw sewage in the nallah creating a nuisance and a sense of insecurity of health for the locals. The residents of Maddel have demanded immediate action against the developer of these buildings and all those who have been discharging sewage in the nallah.

The nallah that starts near the Rebello Hospital, opposite KTC bus stand, opens up perpendicular to the main road leading to Mungul, opposite the ring road.
Devraj Phaldesai, from Jal Dhara Apartments, said, “We have seen this nallah being filled with filth and discharge of raw sewage for decades. Even after complaints, there is no action to clear the same.”
