PANJIM: Mardol Village overcame Usgao Village 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 18-25 and 15-7 to emerge champions of all-Goa inter-village volleyball tournament organized by Crown Club, Santa Cruz at Santa Cruz on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Rosary.
Usgao led by Avelino, who played as setter, won the first set 25-18. Mardol regrouped and with Pritesh in fine form won the next two sets to 25-20, 25-20. The fourth set was a hard fought affair with Usgao prevailing 25-18.
!n the final set, Mardol took an early lead and eventually won the set and the match 15-7.
