Pratima, brother-in-law remanded to JC

VASCO: Pratima Naik, prime accused in the Vasco double murder case, and her brother-in-law, Abhijit Korgaonkar, have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.

VASCO: Pratima Naik, prime accused in the Vasco double murder case, and her brother-in-law, Abhijit Korgaonkar, have been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
Vasco police stated that the police remand of both accused had expired on Tuesday and they were produced before the JMFC Court at Vasco.
Since they were not required for further investigation, the court remanded Naik and Korgaonkar to 14 days judicial custody.
It may be recalled that Naik was arrested by the Vasco police after she had confessed to the double murder of her sister-in-law, Neha and their mother-in-law, Usha. Korgaonkar was later arrested on charges of his involvement in the stolen gold and cash from the flat.
