The winners fired in one goal in each session of play.
Saligao broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute of play when Avaristo Fernandes sent a defense splitting pass to Latesh Mandrekar who deftly fired the ball home, 1-0.
Crossing over Saligao almost increased the lead in the 47th minute of play however Trevor Dias’s long range effort sailed inches over the Augustius goal.
After several missed attempts Saligao went ahead by 2-0 when Earl Sequeira’s strike rebounded off the crosspiece and travelled to Sachin Chopdekar who drilled the ball to the far corner of the Augustius nets, 2-0.
In the last quarter of the match Saligao should have fired in atleast four more goal however their strikers faltered in scoring from open sitters.
