MARGAO: The Curtorim village panchayat and local MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco have strongly refuted recent criticisms raised during a gram sabha, firmly rejecting the allegations made against them.

Addressing members of the media, the Curtorim MLA stated that it was inaccurate to claim that no responses were provided regarding the proposed project on the Leprosy Hospital land. He emphasised that the government had already furnished him with written responses containing the required details during the last Assembly session.
The MLA also criticised what he described as politically motivated efforts to undermine ongoing government initiatives in the village and constituency. He argued that such criticisms appear to be aimed at creating unnecessary controversy around existing and planned infrastructure projects.
