PANJIM: A jail guard attached to Sada sub jail has been suspended by the Prisons Department for allegedly trying to smuggle banned substances into the premises.
Inspector General of Prisons Mihir Vardhan said Sunil Telgiri has been suspended after he was caught trying to sneak in cigarette and other tobacco products into the jail. An inquiry has been initiated against him, which will also probe whether he was involved in such acts in the past.
