PANJIM: North Goa District and Sessions court on Saturday adjourned the hearing in the Serula Comunidade land grab case against former tourism minister Dilip Parulekar and others to July 1, as the High Court of Bombay at Goa granted interim relief to Parulekar till June 27.
Parulekar along with Peter Martins, then attorney of Serula Comunidade and Irene Sequeira, then administrator of Comunidades of Bardez are accused of having committed offences under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.
Advocate Aires Rodrigues who had filed the complaint against Parulekar and others submitted in the court that he would move the High Court on Monday to get the interim relief vacated as it was fraudulently obtained. He said that Parulekar had misled the High Court.
The Court on June 1 had held that Parulekar had cheated Serula Comunidade and public at large in the alleged land grabbing case and that he had falsely appropriated land of Comunidade of Serula in collusion with the Comunidade officials.
