CALANGUTE: PVC Parra relied on Virgilio Lobo’s 25th minute strike to register a solitary goal victory over Football Club of Siolim Lakhanpal Novino Novino Cup Soccer organized by Candolim Sports Club at Dr Gustavo Monteiro ground, Wednesday.
Parra started attackingly and surged ahead in the 25th minute after Waldron Martin’s throw in found Virgilio Lobo, who shot past Siolim goalkeeper Arnold Fernandes with an adroit placement.
Five minutes later, Siolim had a chance to equalize but Sangam Pednekar’s thunderous shot sailed inches over.
In the second session, Parra goalkeeper did well to deny Siolim’s Selwin Fernandes and Pushaparaj Mandrekar as they hung on to a solitary goal.
