MARGAO: The Navelim Panchayat, while rebutting allegations of the complainant in the Mandopa Car wash station matter, has said that the issue is being dealt according to rules.
Oscar Fernandes, complainant in the matter, had issued a press release regarding an allegedly illegally operating car wash centre in Mandopa. Resident Oscar Fernandes has alleged that there is vested interest in this service centre recently opened at Mandopa, Navelim and has attacked the panchayat for not acting on his complaint.
The panchayat has also claimed that the allegations made against them are false and baseless.
The panchayat claimed, “The said matter is under process with the panchayat and is dealt accordingly as per rules. It is not the panchayat alone who is involved in granting the NOC for the activity, since the panchayat issues provisional NOC with conditions wherein the applicant is required to obtain NOC from other related departments, only then a final NOC is granted.”
