CALANGUTE: Headmaster of a Siolim school has accused the managing committee members of harassing his subordinates and creating an unhealthy environment for the students.
“In my absence on January 11, the managing committee of the school forcibly entered the school premises and restrained a staff demanding documents of the school. Since the staff did not give, they forcibly took the registers, etc, from her possession and abused her,” stated Headmaster Suryakant B Naik at a press briefing in the school premises on Wednesday.
“The SSC students answering their preliminary exams were forced to leave the examination hall due to the prevailing act at the school premises by the present managing committee,” said Naik.
“The managing committee members have filed a false complaint against me on charges of sexual assault, which I can prove at appropriate time and I have nothing to fear. The forcible attempt to takeover of the school by the managing committee deserves condemnation,” added Naik.
Meanwhile, Anjuna Police have registered an offence under Sections 143, 448, 341, 504, 506 (II), 323, 354-A, 356, 379 r/w 149 IPC against the managing committee members for an unlawful assembly and criminal trespass besides abuse and outraging her modesty, following a complaint by the school UDC.
