Teachers play important role in society: Sardinha

South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha has said that teachers play an important role in society in moulding the lives of young minds in schools.
He was speaking as a chief guest at a Teachers’ Day celebrations organised by First Steps Primary School at Per-Seraulim on Saturday.
He said it is a fact that teachers do yeoman service for the mankind as a whole, adding that teachers are icons for the young students. Saying that young students are influenced by the teachers more than the parents, Sardinha said it is very important that the students are moulded in the right direction. “Whatever guidance you give to the student will be with them throughout their lives”, he added. Impressed by the welcome song by the students, the MP complimented the teachers of First Steps Primary School for putting their efforts to train the students for the occasion.
