PERNEM: Goa State Election Commission has disqualified former sarpanch and sitting panch of Arambol Panchayat Inacio Daniel D’Souza under Section 10(f) of the Goa Panchayat Act, 1994.
Uday Vaigankar an RTI activist from Pernem had approached the Goa State Election Commission seeking disqualification of D’Souza on the ground that the panch misused his position as sarpnach and gave Garbage tender to his son Vancy D’Souza.
