Land acquisition worries Chinchinim villagers

Residents of Dandeavaddo and Bandfoll in Chinchinim village keep their fingers crossed over the proposed 6/4 lane highway.
For, the PWD has made it very clear that it is not known how much additional land will be required for the four-lane road since the proposal of land acquisition is under preliminary stage.
Expressing shock over the situation, the Chinchinim Panchayat at its meeting held a day ago has strongly felt that hundreds of people will be displaced if the government goes ahead with the new proposal for additional land acquisition along the Chinchinim stretch of the proposed highway.
The meeting took note of the fact that the stretch is fully residential zone with people staying along the highway have very little land holding.
