POVASAO-CURTORIM: Navelim Villagers Union downed Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-1 to move into the semi-finals of the Wilred Leisure Cup football tournament, at DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Tuesday.
Navelim’s Travis D’Souza was the hero of the game with his dribbling and shooting.
Frazier D’Souza opened the score-line for Navelim in the 23rd minute but the joy was short-lived as Francis Andrade equalised for Fatorda in the 28th minute.
Later in the second half, Navelim midfielder Climax Lawrence played a good role in guiding his team and went on spraying balls to Clinton Niasso and Travis D’Souza.
The tactic paid off as Clinton Niasso netted the second for Navelim in the 43rd minute.
Thereafter, Climax Lawrence made it 3-1 for Navelim in the 47th minute. Travis D’Souza made it 4-1 with just three minutes left for the final whistle.
