PANJIM: Young lad Chittesh Mandody, brand ambassador of Volkswagen Goa North, which is an entity of Mohite Automotive Pvt Ltd, is all set to give his best to be on the podium and finish the racing series in the top three overall (National racing championships) in the last race scheduled on December 1, at Buddh International Circuit, New Delhi.
Chittesh started his racing career at the age of seven as a budding Gokart racer. At the age of 13, he became the Junior National Karting National Champion and represented India in Dubai in the “World Karting Championship”. In 2011, he became the Senior Karting National Champion and qualified to represent India in the world championship.
In 2010-11, Chittesh was sponsored by JK Tyres and Mohite Racing Team to drive in Formula Single Seater Racing series in India, were in he managed many podium finishes and was awarded overall third in the National Racing Championships.
The top young talents of the country got an opportunity to participate in these series and Chittesh was amongst them, but was lacking to get sponsors.
But with help of JK Tyres and Mohite Racing Team, he was made the Brand Ambassador of Volkswagen Goa North, which is an entity of Mohite Automotive Pvt. Ltd.
Chittesh getting this opportunity gave his best from race one and out of nine races he has been on the podium for nine times and twice has his car failure. He also imposed the best lap time in his last race in Buddh International racing in Delhi, were in he finished second on the podium.
Volkswagen has been promoting motors sports all over the world and had launched Polo R Cup in the year 2009 in India which inspired young racing entries.
