Leaders Demand Lifting of Ban on Gomantak Gaud Maratha Community, Warn of Statewide Campaign Ahead of 2027 Polls

Leaders and community representatives have demanded that the government immediately lift the ban imposed on the Gomantak Gaud Maratha community and Uttta, which has effectively blocked the issuance of Scheduled Tribe (ST) caste certificates for many tribal families.

They warned that if the government fails to act, they will launch a large-scale awareness campaign ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, reaching out to voters in every village and ward across the state.
