Yellow Black Taxi operators vow to protest outside Mopa Airport gate till they get a taxi counter

The Yellow Black Taxi operators have vowed to protest outside the Manohar Parrikar International Mopa Airport gate till they get a taxi counter at the airport. They started the protest by offering coconut and prayers at Barazankar Devasthan, Mopa and then held a meeting outside Mopa airport gate. MLA Pravin Arlekar met the protesting taximen and assured them that the issue would be resolved on Monday itself. Together with a team of 3 taximen, he left for Panjim to meet the Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to find a solution to the vexed issue. The international flights are scheduled to land at Mopa on January 5, 2023.

Those gathered to protest at the Mopa airport since the compensation to land losers had not been paid, and neither had jobs been given. When Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar assured to solve the issue by taking a delegation of taximen to the CM Sawant, they demanded that the CM come to Mopa. Later a delegation of 3 taximen along with Arlekar left to meet the CM Sawant at Panjim.
