RAIA: Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda advanced to the quarter-finals of the Navelim Villagers Union Trophy football tournament with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nuvem SC, at the Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Wednesday.
The decisive moment came in the 32nd minute when Joel Furtado found the target with a well-placed strike, securing the win for Fr Agnelo YSC.
Despite Nuvem’s late pressure in search of an equaliser, Paroda’s defence held firm to preserve their slender lead and book a place in the last eight.
