Preliminary investigation revealed that the burglars had tried to force open the shop’s shutter, but were unable to gain entry. Police suspect that the culprits may have fled after failing to breach the security system or noticing movement in the vicinity.

“The thieves attempted to break into the jewellery store but did not succeed. We have initiated a probe and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby establishments to identify the suspects,” a police official said.

The Fatorda Police have registered a case of attempted burglary and are working on several leads. Authorities have also urged local shop owners to enhance night-time security measures and immediately report any suspicious activity in the area as the investigation continues.
