In a step towards enhancing passenger convenience and promoting digital innovation, the Konkan Railway has commissioned a Digi Locker facility at three major stations — Ratnagiri, Thivim, and Udupi — effective from October 16, 2025.
The newly introduced system allows travelers to securely store their luggage in a self-operated digital locker using a QR-based payment mechanism. Passengers can make payments seamlessly via UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and other digital modes.

Available 24×7, the facility ensures safe, easy, and round-the-clock access for travelers, especially those in transit or with waiting time between train connections.
Officials said the initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Digital India Movement, aiming to modernize public transport infrastructure and enhance passenger services through technology-driven solutions.
