The Crime Branch investigation into the cash-for-job allegations made by Pooja Naik has taken a new turn, with two government officials being named in connection with the case. According to sources, Pooja also provided details about the number of candidates allegedly linked to the matter during her statement to investigators.
While Pooja mentioned the name of a minister during questioning, she did not make any direct allegations against the individual, officials clarified.
Investigators have also identified a flat allegedly used for cash transactions related to the recruitment scam. However, the flat owner denied any such activity, telling police that since 2019, the premises have been occupied only by hotel management students.
Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch) Rahul Gupta said the inquiry remains ongoing, and that the named government officials will be called for questioning if required. “The investigation into the remaining allegations is still in progress,” Gupta stated.
The case continues to draw public attention as the Crime Branch works to verify the claims and trace any evidence of financial wrongdoing.
