US President Donald Trump on Tuesday firmly rejected any association with the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as lawmakers prepared to vote on the release of files connected to the high-profile case.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said he had no involvement with Epstein and claimed he had removed him from his private club years earlier. “I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump stated, adding, “I threw him out of my club many years ago because I thought he was a sick pervert.”
