Mapusa, Goa: The Mamlatdar has lifted the seal on the giant wheel installed at the Bodgeshwar Jatra venue in Mapusa, allowing the popular ride to resume operations. The amusement ride, along with several others at the fairground, had earlier been sealed for functioning without the mandatory permissions.
Officials confirmed that the action was initially taken after it was found that the operators had not secured the required approvals from the concerned authorities. Following compliance measures and submission of necessary documentation, the Mamlatdar ordered the de-sealing of the giant wheel.
The Bodgeshwar Jatra, one of North Goa’s most attended traditional fairs, attracts thousands of visitors each year. With the reopening of the ride, fairgoers are expected to benefit from the restored amusement facilities, while authorities maintain that safety and regulatory norms will continue to be strictly enforced.
