A new water pump has been installed to drain accumulated water from the salt pans in Agarwada, helping resolve persistent waterlogging problems that have affected local livelihoods.
The pump, supplied by the Water Resources Department (WRD), was officially commissioned at a brief ceremony attended by Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar and Panchayat Sarpanch Shilpa Naik.

Authorities said the initiative will greatly benefit salt pan workers by improving working conditions and preventing seasonal flooding.
