Nepal National Booked for Using Forged Documents to Obtain Aadhaar and PAN Card in Goa

Police have registered a case against a Nepal national currently residing in Calangute for allegedly submitting a forged electricity bill to obtain an Aadhaar card at the Indian Overseas Bank branch in Margao.

According to police sources, the case was registered following a complaint filed by a Calangute resident. The complainant alleged that the accused fraudulently used his electricity bill to secure the Aadhaar card and subsequently obtained a PAN card without his knowledge or consent.

Officials said the forged document was submitted during the Aadhaar enrolment process at the bank, raising concerns over identity misuse and document fraud. Upon verification, discrepancies were found, leading to the registration of the case.

Police have stated that further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the fraud and to ascertain whether more individuals or institutions were involved in the process.
