Canacona Police Arrest Man in Narcotics Raid, Seize MDMA, Charas and Cocaine Valued at ₹5.25 Lakh

Canacona police have arrested 49-year-old Walter Fernandes, a resident of Chapoli in Canacona, during a narcotics raid at Devabag Football Ground, recovering a significant stash of illegal drugs estimated to be worth ₹5.25 lakh.

According to police, Fernandes was found in possession of 24.4 grams of MDMA, 111.2 grams of charas and 3.4 grams of cocaine during the operation. The seized substances are now being analysed and will form part of the charges brought against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
