Wilred Leisure Sports Club Curtorim booked their place in the semi-finals after defeating Ambelim Sports Club 6–5 in the tiebreaker of the All Goa Inter-Village Football Tournament, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim in memory of Late Father Joe Gomes, at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.
Ambelim SC opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Aaron Pinto, before Alison Fernandes brought Wilred Leisure back on level terms in the 17th minute. The first half ended with both teams locked at 1–1.
The second half witnessed end-to-end action, with both sides creating several scoring opportunities. However, strong defensive play and excellent goalkeeping from both teams ensured that no further goals were added, and the match finished in a 1–1 draw at full time.
In the tiebreaker, Wilred Leisure kept their composure, converting their kicks through Alison Fernandes, Fredy Hilario, Ryan Fernandes, Vicky Cardozo and Afileo Fernandes. For Ambelim SC, Velroy Fernandes, Joshua Pinto, Aaron Pinto and Bleston Simoes were on target, but it was not enough to stop Curtorim from advancing.
Ambelim goalkeeper Dillon D’Silva was adjudged Man of the Match and received the award from sports lover and United Sports Club of Seraulim member Tony Rodrigues.
