Councillors expressed concerns over the potential environmental impact, foul odour, health hazards and possible disturbance to residential areas if the factory is allowed to operate in the town. They emphasised that such an industry would be unsuitable for Cuncolim and could adversely affect the quality of life of residents.

The council decided to formally communicate its unanimous opposition to the concerned authorities and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public health and the town’s environment.
