A cleanliness drive was conducted at Bondir Wado, Badem, with active participation from local residents and volunteers, reinforcing the message of community-led sanitation efforts.
The initiative was organised by Live Happy NGO in association with the Village Panchayat Anjuna. The campaign saw enthusiastic involvement from community members who joined hands to clean and beautify the locality.
The drive was led by Felly Gomes from Assagao along with Sarpanch Surendra Govekar, who spearheaded the effort and encouraged residents to actively participate in maintaining hygiene in the area.
In a boost to the initiative, Delilah Lobo, MLA of the Siolim Assembly Constituency, paid a visit to the site to extend her support. Her presence was warmly received by organisers and participants alike.
Addressing those gathered, the MLA underscored the importance of cleanliness and responsible waste disposal. She appealed to citizens to avoid littering and to play a proactive role in keeping their surroundings clean and environmentally safe.
The drive sent out a strong message of collective responsibility and environmental awareness, highlighting the importance of sustained community participation in maintaining cleanliness across villages.
