A 24-year-old man from Maharashtra lost his life in a road accident at Dhargal on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Kevin, was reportedly travelling from Pernem towards Mapusa when the mishap occurred. According to police, the motorcycle first brushed against the side of a car moving in the same direction near the Dhargal panchayat area.

The impact caused the rider to lose control of the vehicle, following which the motorcycle crashed into an electric pole along the roadside.
The injured rider was rushed to North Goa District Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The body was later shifted to the mortuary at Goa Medical College for further formalities.
Police from Pernem Police Station have registered a case, and further investigation into the accident is currently underway.
