Sankalp Amonkar has urged the state government to introduce an additional dialysis shift at the Sub-District Hospital Chicalim to better serve patients from Mormugao taluka.
Raising the issue through a Zero Hour mention in the Goa Legislative Assembly, Amonkar pointed out that the dialysis unit at the hospital has 12 beds but currently operates only until 6 pm.

He said the limited operating hours often force patients to wait for long periods to receive treatment. As a result, several patients are compelled to travel to other medical facilities such as Goa Medical College and Hospital or hospitals in Margao for dialysis.
Amonkar emphasised that introducing an additional shift would significantly ease the burden on patients and ensure timely treatment for those suffering from kidney-related ailments in the Mormugao region.
