The issue was raised in the House amid concerns about whether legislative proceedings could proceed after the election announcement.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed the House that the government would seek clarity on the matter. He added that a final clarification on whether the Budget Session can continue would be provided by the afternoon of March 16.
