Belagavi Police arrested four individuals, including three from Goa, in connection with a counterfeit ₹500 currency note racket. The accused, identified as Mohammed (21) from Taleband-Davorlim, Rupesh (26) from Canacona, Mohammed (23) from Margao, and Shravan (25) from Begusarai, Bihar, allegedly tried to circulate fake notes in the city. Authorities seized 495 counterfeit ₹500 notes, mobile phones, and a vehicle linked to the operation. The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, focusing on tracking the full extent of the network and any accomplices.
