The JMFC Court in Mapusa has reserved its order in the bail plea of Ajay Gupta in connection with the devastating Arpora Birch nightclub fire case, which claimed 25 lives in December 2025. The court is expected to pronounce its decision on March 24.
Advocate Rohan Desai informed that the court has taken cognizance of the chargesheet, and the case will now proceed towards arguments on framing of charges or possible discharge. Meanwhile, Advocate Parag Rao stated that arguments on anticipatory bail have been completed, with the prosecution set to respond on March 24.
All accused, including co-owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, appeared before the court as directed. The case continues to draw significant public attention as families await justice following one of Goa’s deadliest fire tragedies.
