Residents of Mirabag protesting against the proposed Bandara project have announced plans to shift their agitation to a new, undisclosed location while continuing their opposition.
The protesters alleged government inaction and strongly criticised the heavy police deployment at Azad Maidan, where restrictions were imposed under Section 163.
Expressing frustration, residents said they have “run out of patience” and vowed to continue their protest peacefully. “We are native Goans and will continue our protest to protect our land while maintaining law and order,” they stated.
The group also accused the government of misusing its authority to suppress dissent, asserting that they will not allow their movement to be silenced.
