Residents of Ganganagar in Mapusa have once again drawn attention to the poor state of the road linking Wards 14 and 15. The stretch has been neglected for years, riddled with potholes and lacking basic street lighting, making daily travel risky. The monsoon only worsens the situation, leading to frequent accidents. Locals claim that their councillor has never visited the area to address these long-standing issues. In a remarkable act of initiative, resident Sikandar Sawar reportedly used his own money to carry out temporary road repairs. His efforts have highlighted the urgency of the problem and renewed public pressure on authorities. Residents are now demanding immediate intervention to prevent further mishaps and ensure safer movement for the community.
