CM Pramod Sawant Calls for Cultural Unity at Virat Hindu Sammelan in Goa

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant attended and addressed the Virat Hindu Sammelan organised by the Surla Mandal Hindu Sammelan Committee, emphasising the need for renewed cultural unity and pride.

The event witnessed the presence of prominent speakers, including Suveenay Damle and Surendra Champanerkar, who addressed attendees on cultural and social issues.

During his speech, Sawant highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the “double-engine government” is actively promoting traditional systems of medicine, particularly Ayurveda, through initiatives such as a dedicated AYUSH department and health camps.

Emphasising Goa’s rich cultural heritage, the Chief Minister described the state as a sacred land rooted in Sanatan Dharma, with traditions that trace back to the era of the Mahabharata.

The Sammelan served as a platform to promote cultural awareness and reinforce the importance of preserving traditional values in contemporary society.
