Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has intervened in the issue of workers laid off from Sesa Resources Limited, directing authorities to prioritise an early resolution.
In a bid to address the concerns of affected workers and ease rising tensions, Sawant has instructed the Deputy Collector, Mamlatdar, and police officials to hold discussions with the employees on Tuesday.
Officials are expected to engage with workers to understand their grievances and explore possible solutions to the dispute. The move signals the state government’s intent to resolve the issue through dialogue and prevent further escalation.
The development comes amid growing concern among workers over job losses, with authorities now tasked with facilitating a constructive outcome through negotiations.
