The Governor of Goa has responded to a representation submitted by Vijai Sardesai, President of the Goa Forward Party, regarding the reconvening of the Assembly Session. Sardesai had urged the Governor to call the session in order to discuss and pass the proposed Goa Protection of Agricultural Lands Act, 2026, a bill aimed at addressing concerns related to land use and agricultural preservation in the state.
In his reply, the Governor acknowledged the request and informed that the matter has been forwarded to the Government of Goa for necessary action. While this indicates that the issue is under consideration, no specific timeline has been provided for reconvening the Assembly.
