Amona Woman Arrested for Allegedly Cheating Youths With Fake Government Job Promises

A woman from Amona has been arrested by the Ponda Police Station for allegedly cheating several youths by promising them government jobs.

According to police sources, the accused, who is reportedly a resident of the Sankhali constituency, allegedly duped around 15 to 20 individuals over the past two years. She is accused of collecting several lakhs of rupees from the victims under the pretext of securing government employment for them.

Police said the alleged fraud came to light after complaints were lodged by the affected youths, prompting an investigation into the matter.
