Sirlim Hit-and-Run AccusedRemanded to 3 Days Police Custody

Swaraj Jagtap, a native of Maharashtra has been remanded in police custody for three days after being arrested by Margao Police in connection with a hit-and-run case in Sirlim. The accused allegedly drove a rented car on the wrong side of the road and struck a 45-year-old woman riding a scooter from behind.

The victim, a resident of Rawanfond originally from Ponda, was thrown off the road and sustained injuries. She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. A case has been registered under attempt to murder provisions and for rash and negligent driving
