Short Circuit Suspected as Fire Guts Rented House in Batlem, No Casualties Reported

A rented house in Batlem suffered extensive damage after a fire reportedly triggered by a short circuit broke out on the premises, authorities said.

According to Fire Brigade officials, the blaze caused significant destruction to the structure and household belongings, leaving much of the property damaged.

Firefighters rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert and launched efforts to contain the flames. Their prompt response helped bring the fire under control before it could spread to neighbouring houses and cause further damage.

Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported, and all occupants were able to escape unharmed.
